Lovage has a shrubby habit and needs a lot of space. It has quite a distinct flavour to the leaves and the stems which can be used as an alternative to celery in salads, soups and many other dishes. Lovage tea has a stimulating effect on digestion and makes a refreshing addition to bath water. Lovage can reach heights of as much as 2m tall.
